Bourbon Event Coordinator – Louisville, KY


Job Summary:

The Bourbon Event Coordinator serves to support the current Brown-Forman (BF) teams (Community Relations, Sales, and Marketing) with the execution of local events within the state of Kentucky.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

Event Execution:

    • Work events in needed capacity as a brand ambassador, sampler, and/or event set-up
    • Conduct staff trainings as necessary
    • Manage staffing at events
    • Coordinate Point of Sale (POS) needs
    • Ensure that BF event standards are met, responsibility plan is in place

Event Management: Planning & Communication:

    • Communicate logistics and Run of Show to execution team
    • Schedule and send invites to execution team, include responsibilities
    • Order POS
    • Coordinate bars, rental needs, product needs, etc

Distillery and Cooperage Coordinator:

    • Schedule and coordinate visits, lunches, gifts, and special events for Kentucky/Indiana market needs
    • Communicate and coordinate logistics

Reporting and Continuing Education:

    • Track activities and budgets on master list
    • Keep Google event calendar up to date
    • Recap events
    • Attend KY team meetings
    • Participate in Greenhouse brand education opportunities
    • Participate in local opportunities for brand education and training (heavier in 1st year)

Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum of 1 year marketing, sales and/or event coordination experience preferred
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Outstanding organizational skills
    • Strong decision making capabilities
    • Ability to collaborate and develop effective working relationships with all members of extended sales and brand teams
    • Resourceful and understands how to get things done by leveraging opportunities against multiple resources
    • Has sound financial skills and experience managing a budget
    • Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends)
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships within accounts, communities and organizations
    • Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license; this position requires driving

Essential Physical Functions:

    • Creates documents, reports, event recaps
    • Ability to lift weight in excess of 40 lbs.
    • Ability to carry weight in excess of 40 lbs.
    • Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
    • Ability to pick up and transport POS, event equipment, product

Additional Comments:

This is a full-time position based on an annual contract with the client.

Position Financials (Annual):

Base Salary:  $ 40,000 – 45,000 DOE
Auto Allowance:  $ 6,600
Communication Allowance:  $ 2,400
